Great location, ideal interior design, clean, all new , excellent bedding! It was wonderful experience!
Loved the location, our room had a balcony and we were able to eat alfresco, it was so hot in Vienna, lovely to get back to our room and sit outside with a cold drink
A very good experience at your hotel. I was going to give you 10 but i gave 9 just because the cleaning service of the room need to improve.
Great hotel and friendly staff. Rooms adequate and clean. More staff required in bar at evening!
Great inner city location, spacious and comfortable rooms, nice hotel bar and very friendly staff- our favourit hotel for a Vienna city trip
Staff was great
Top Service, top Lage
Modern and pragmatic hotel, small rooms but ok for sleeping a few nights. Very few TV channels visible, not an Italian one available and working. No places where to put clothes and no support for luggage. Automatic distributor for drink would be appreciated.
Everything was great, the staff was super helpful and kind, food selection was great, too.
All good, was missing conditioner in the shower. Had counted on that ☺️
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well appointed rooms. Decent breakfast
At check-in I was charged too much and it took my time and effort to sort out your mistake and get a refund.
We stay 2 night, after the first one our room wasn’t cleaned, I request housekeeping and than they come and clean.
Writing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super easy to book. The staff was incredibly friendly, the breakfast buffet had everything we needed, and the location is perfect right next to Vienna's main station. The tram stop for Line D is only about 100 meters away and takes you into the heart of Vienna in around 15 minutes. The hotel is modern, very clean, and the room had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bar is also great with reasonable prices, although the large bottle of water could be a little cheaper. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. Every time we come to Vienna, we'll book Motel One again. The Wifi didnt work so well this time but i had a Data Package so it was ok:) PS: the Bathroom in -1 were nicer and cleaner than the Ritz-Carlton's Bathroom that we were at.
The new interior design is very cold, and there is no reference to Vienna left, which is a pity. Especially the reception area and the bar area were much nicer before. Breakfast is more than overpriced at 25 euros: canned fruits, no Oesterreichischer Schinken, no Oesterreichischer Kren, no Oesterreichischer Kaese, two sorts of post-mix juice, long queues at one (!) coffee machine. Staff does not care about leftovers at tables or on the floor ( I am talking Monday morning, not a Saturday or Sunday) I witnessed how a woman was charged the full 25 euros two minutes before official breakfast time was over, and how she was told that everything would be gone in two minutes, so she better grabs what she can. Wow. Also - I saw several guests who wanted a coffee to go and where told to go to Aida. Hmmm...
The hotel was in a good location and convenient for public transport. It also had a good variety for breakfast. However I would not recommend this hotel for any family travelling with 2 (or more) kids. We reserved one room for 2 adults and 2 kids and we were given a very small single bed for the kids to share. The room was very tiny with no room for our luggage. I wish they would have told us the room set up before booking so that we could have booked elsewhere.
Great location and overall pleasant stay.
comfortable, and quiet. It was a great experience, and I would recommend it to friends in Taiwan who might need it.
We had a wonderful experience at Motel One Wien-Hauptbahnhof. The hotel has a modern atmosphere, comfortable rooms, a great location, and a very welcoming team. A special thanks goes to Saif, who was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. He handled everything efficiently and made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived. His polite attitude and excellent customer service during his Night Duty truly made a difference. We would definitely stay here again!
Lovely accommodation and staff at a very good price 😃
The short-haired, thin man at the counter was very friendly. He greeted me and kindly told me how to call a taxi to the airport. I'm very grateful to him.
Great location. Comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely decor. Helpful friendly staff.
The hotelis efficient and the staff outstanding
If driving, acces to the hotel is quite difficult because there are no clear signs and indications to the garage. The hotel itself is very ok and modern, no complaints.
The hotel's location is the reason I choose to stay here as it is easy to reach by public transport. The decor is pleasant and the rooms are comfortable. I have been coming here for years but the friendliness of the staff is not what it was, so it has lost its charm and that affects the atmosphere.
Had a great stay at this hotel with a great location to the conference center. Clean, nice, and quiet hotel and area.
I asked a quit room you gave me the 1300. top
Friendly team who has been taking care of assigning me the room I wished. Particularly appreciated the ssme gentleman who was on evening shift on Sunday August 23rd and helped on phone for my biking and Monday August 24th.when arriving.
really enjoyed our stay, and loved the modern/ historic mix..cool music and relaxed vibe. Return for sure..! (ps bathroom drains need some attention I'd say..) 10/10
The hotel lobby and dining areas were beautiful and gracious. Breakfast with the room charge was very good with nice and varied options. Room sizes were small, though. Quiet for sleeping, and clean. Lobby receptionists were great.
Nice room, comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the city. Breakfast was good but not really worth the price as there is no warm food.
I selected Motel One from 3 side-by-side locations (Leonardo, MO, Smartments) at Vienna HBF. I have stayed at the Leonardo, which is a better hotel, but MO offered a reasonable price point for a newish room with AC, so I gave it a try. The location was great; the rest was acceptable for the most part, but not perfect. Chief complaints: 1. The front door is flanked by seating that encourages chain smokers to linger and smoke. Nonsmokers must pass through the smoke to enter the lobby, which had its own indoor cloud of smoke as did the elevators. That is poor planning on the part of MO who should place the smoking area out back, or at minimum, slide the seating away from the front door to discourage people from lighting up right at the entrance. 2. My room smelled musty, like a wet dog. The fan helped somewhat, but as I discovered when climbing into bed, a large part of the carpet on the window side was soaking wet. It took until day 3 for the carpet to dry out, which reduced the odor, though the smell still lingered in the bathroom. 3. Why no hotpot, coffee maker or hot/cold water cooler in near the elevator? That would really add perceived value.
The room was clean, cool and the bed was comfy, the bathroom was very good but there was no towel drier. The bar and lobby area was lovely however when the bar was busy it took too long for additional staff to support and the service level dropped and the staff were visibly struggling to do their jobs (as a point of clarity it was raining very heavy one evening and it would seem that lots of guests decided to stay in for drinks maybe longer than they would have, normally). Unfortunately we were misinformed that the room had USB ports and we never brought our plugs - this caused us to have to purchase adapters which was inconvenient. Overall it is a nice hotel in a fantastic location and these few niggles did not spoil our stay.
Everything was good
We could check-in sooner due to room availability so thats great. The receptionists were very kind. The only issue we had was finding the hotel at first. The map showed the front incorrectly so we didnt realise that the front door is next to Vio plaza. Other than that we had a great time.
The requirement to hand over your driving licence in order to obtain an iron and ironing board is outrageous. I even offered to leave a cash deposit instead, but this was not accepted. Such a request is a clear violation of the GDPR, as it involves the unnecessary collection and processing of personal data for a purpose that can be achieved by far less intrusive means. I would be very interested to see your response and legal justification for this practice.
The staff was very helpful and friendly and the most important very responsive to my requests..!
Speedy and straight forward check -in, nice clean room, and bit small but comfortable. Would stay again
Clean, soundproofed room with a great view. Check-in was very quick with the kind receptionist. The hotel is in an excellent location, public transport, shops, restaurants a few minutes walk away.
The most positive aspect was the staff, who were always very helpful. I had a medication that needed to be kept refrigerated, and they were always attentive and responsive whenever I went to reception to ask for it. The check-in and check-out processes were also very efficient. One area that could perhaps be improved is the maintenance, as it is clear that the hotel is a little dated. For example, some of the furniture, such as the wardrobe, is not always of the highest quality. The material of the bathroom sink was also slightly stained, although this seemed to be due to the type of material itself. Overall, however, the room was Clean
The place is great. The rooms are clean, big and very comfortable. The hotel is placed in a perfect location
This is one of the classiest of all Motel/Cloud Ones. The lounge is just a great area to enjoy a drink. A short block from the opera house. Value for your money is fabulous. Treat yourselves to a stay.
I loved this hotel, it had an upscale feel at an affordable price. It's located 2 blocks away from the subway and tour meeting point on the corner of the opera house. Nice restaurant on site and many more nearby. I appreciate the minimalistic design and the eco-friendly use of resources without sacrificing confort. The shower temperature and pressure setting is comfortable, and the toiletries are high quality products. Thank you.
The room is good location good, breakfast lacked signature good yoghurt and fruit options Bed was too warm, the sheet was not breathing
Unpleasant hasty music in the common areas. Stark rooms without fridge. The absence if a fridge alone is a reason for me never to come back. The hotel is surprisingly difficult to find when arriving by car. The name is not readable and the house number - we found it the next day - is high above. Put a house number next to the door is my recommendation.
Everything is good, but one suggestion is glasses in the room will be more friendly to our environment.
Everything Perfect
Fabulous location for the trains, 12noon check out, and terrific staff
Very nice hotel. In a great location. We arrived at 11 in the morning and we were handed the key right away. Rooms are not huge but clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!
The location of Motel One Wien-Westbahnhof is perfect for a tourist who is interested in visiting all the interesting spots in classic Vienna, very comfortable. Both my wife and myself enjoyed the week we stayed in your hotel.
Switch on. beOne.

Set in another of its aspects is an artistic hotspot, a centre for music and historical interest – as well as a night-life scene that measures up to that of other European capitals. Let the city’s atmosphere wash over you, get to grips with its unique sense of humour, discover Vienna in your own way.
Budget Design Hotels in Vienna – your Motel One
Vienna’s skyline is still dominated by the legacy of its once all-powerful Hapsburg monarchy. The ornate Baroque palaces of Schönbrunn and Belvedere, the Hofburg complex, once centre of an extensive empire, and the renowned monumental edifices lining the Ringstraße are all testament to Hapsburg architecture.
The Schönbrunn Palace with its expansive parkland and the world’s oldest view is well worth a visit if you want to find out more about the city’s storied imperial past. Our Design Hotel at the Westbahnhof station is just a few minutes from this Baroque residence. Promenade through this UNESCO World Heritage site in the footsteps of tragic Empress Sisi, meander the cunning maze, admire the ostentatious ceremonial chambers.
Vienna is viewed by many as enjoying an exceptionally high standard of living, and has plenty to offer the palette. Its tradition-steeped coffee houses serve up characteristic speciality mixes such as the Melange, Häferlkaffee and Einspänner, and of course the Wiener Schnitzel is more tender in its home town than anywhere else.
Alongside the numerous cafés and restaurants, the city centre is dominated by the imposing towers of the Stephansdom cathedral, a Viennese landmark consecrated in the 12th century, it is regarded as Austria’s most important Gothic edifice. Close by is the Hofburg, an expansive palace complex formerly used as the Hapsburg seat of power.
If you’ve had your fill of old buildings and are ready to let your hair down, sample Vienna’s electronic music scene in the city’s wide range of clubs. The so-called “Bermuda Triangle”, in what was the Jewish neighbourhood by the Ruprechtskirche makes a good starting point for your night out, or try the Spittelbergviertel area in the 7th and 8th districts for a more alternative vibe. The Naschmarkt is where Vienna’s young and trendy go to dance. Vienna's many facets, encompassing the old and the young, the past and the present, the opulent and the charmingly alternative are sure to appeal.
